Shiloh United Methodist Church is very active in the Holts Summit community. Members have an opportunity to become involved in a variety of service and mission activities. These include: Brown Bag Sunday Scheduled for the third Sunday of every month. Members are invited to bring bags of canned goods and other non-perishable food items. Serve Food Pantry Shiloh serves as the monthly food pantry for SERVE, Inc., distributing food and commodities to local families. Festival of Sharing An interfaith in-gathering for hands on mission. Over 3,000 persons from churches all over the state attend, bringing their collected cash and material goods for ministry projects. Aluminum Can Recycling We collect and recycle aluminum cans, with the proceeds going to the church mission fund. This effort benefits both our environment as well as the less fortunate. Moser Receipts The contribution we get from Moser receipts goes to the Mission Fund. Joyful Noise Joyful Noise is a joint effort of the Shiloh and New Bloomfield United Methodist Churches to expand the Fifth Sunday Hymn sing to include some afternoon entertaining at area nursing homes and senior centers. |
